At the fourth race weekend of the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) two podium places went to Fredrik Ekblom in the Volkswagen Scirocco of the Biogas.se team.
On the city street circuit in Gothenburg Ekblom finished the first round on a dry track as the runner-up. At the second round the Swede showed a strong performance and in pouring rain pushed forwards from seventh on the grid to third place. After four of nine race weekends Ekblom with a two-point gap is the runner-up in the standings. After a brake defect in the first race his team colleague Patrik Olsson finished the second round in seventh place. Alexander Graff finished his debut in the biogas-powered Scirocco on positions 17 and 16.
