• Felipe Nasr excels with two wins at season opener (British F3 Championship)

The start of the British Formula 3 Championship season at Monza (Italy) was dominated completely by the British Carlin team "powered by Volkswagen".

The team celebrated a one-two-three podium lock out in the first race, in the second race a one-two and in the third and final race took first and third positions. The Brazilian Felipe Nasr shone as best driver. The Volkswagen driver won the first and third races. In the second race Nasr was only beaten by Carlin team mate Rupert Svendsen-Cook (Great Britain).

Nasr was particularly strong in the third race: Although he only started from eighth position and dropped back to eleventh on the first lap, he drove brilliantly to retake the lead and win in his Dallara F308 Volkswagen. After the first of ten race weekends Nasr leads the championship by 18 points ahead of Jazeman Jaafar (Malaysia).
