Golf R32 build numbers....

Hey guys and girls just wondering if anyone can confirm how to find out which build number of the 200 r32s you have??

Ie is there a plaque/keyring etc or does it go off the last 3 digits of your vin??

There is usually a plaque. But there is a number of mk4 r32s in aus without.
Not sure about the vin number, but would make sense to have it corresponding somehow

Some of the Australian delivered Mk4 R32's were not numbered.

^ that's right the first few that came to AUS for Journo's etc to look/test drive didn't have build numbers IIRC.

The VIN has no relation to the plague number either.

They did . 1-6 were press cars and 44 was the MD's car

If its not on the vin how do you know which one you have if you have no keyring etc??

I'm guessing you don't have a plaque in the centre console behind your gear stick?

Vin number will not have the numbered info.
My guess would be to check VW data on Elsapro this may give the number in the PR code screen possibly.
Need to speak to VW dealer see if they will help out. Half of them might not have a clue what your talking about hope you find someone who can help.
