Good to see another original 16v mk2 on here. Does that make 2 of us? I didn't know there were many 16v 4 doors around. Was it a UK car? Or German LHD converted or other?

the respray will prob be around xmas time as will hopefully have some decent funds by then and as to the question as to what a 16v goes like well went out for a cruise last nite and im the first one not to advocate street racing but my accelerator seems to stick sometimes  but easily beat a corolla sx twin cam the 100kw job and beat a new corolla sportivo with 140 odd kw which suprised me but took me up till 3rd gear to pass him but now for a quesion who knows about the instrument cluster on a 16v? There is something attatched to the back with a vacuum hose and mine is broken if anyone knows what im talking about ide love to know what it does and wher i can get another one
Ohhh and thanks to all the responses no idea so many other people share the same passion

I'll have a look at mine tomorrow night. Does anything on your cluster not work? Maybe it's the reading for the fuel economy MPG on the MFA.

It's for the economy readout. If it's off, it may affect you AC vent controls. It's a pain to reconnect too!

That happens all the time, its called a "loser flyby"... when the car that wins (sportivo) slows down and the car that losses (16V) keeps going and eventually overtakes, thinking that he has won

just stirring ya

those 16v's go alright i wiped the floor with my mates s 2.2 sri astra which has around 110 kw and my car isn't even running right yet.
Traction is my biggest problem.

Yeah I`ve been hooning round in a Silver Mk1 16v recently and it just scrabbles for grip. Almost as much of a handful as the Vr6

And the motor is still not setup fully.
