I have a bit to say.....watch the pilot and truck trying to block off the guy overtaking.....WTF.....these guys caused this issue to become worse.....these cowboys need a lesson also.....hear him say leave it leave it and they keep driving WTF WTF...SHAME ...the overtaker was in the wrong BUT its not up to the PILOT to issue the punishment.....what would become of this is the person driving was badly injured.....pisses me off

I don't know if you even saw the same video everyone else saw.
The left hand lane was ending forcing the truck into the right hand lane (only lane past that point).
It was already more than 50% in the lane before the beetle tried to make the overtake.

100% the beetle's fault for not looking ahead and driving to the conditions.

No excuse for them to not stop and ensure the safety of the occupants of the Beetle and notify emergency services.

Even though there was no collision and the driver of the beetle was clearly an imbecile, doesn't excuse them for not stopping.

But then what do you expect from people who are exposed to dozens of examples of poor driving day in, day out. I'd probably be tired of it too.

Beetle just needed to ensure it was hit by the pilot vehicle as it merged into the right lane, forcing the pilot to stop and file a report with police.
Beetle had no requirement to give way at that point. Right lane has right of way.

not when your an escort for a wide load. He is there as an extension of the truck to warn traffic to keep clear. something the beetle failed to do! Sure maybe he didnt stop but we didnt see the end of the video, maybe someone else was already stopping behind them and also he has to stop the truck as it cannot continue without him! Dont be so quick to judge from such a short clip.

One can only judge based on the evidence to hand.
Sure the beetle was trying some stupid **** there but the truck and pilot could have taken action to avoid the crash, insurance may call their actions as contributed negligence.

So a slow moving truck with large orange signs and flashing lights warning of an oversized load with a following car with the same signs and flashing lights could be seen as negligent when some idiot tries a desperate overtaking maneuver on a narrowing road where the truck has already clearly taken the right of way? Dont think so!
