Cost of delivery to Australia?

You simply find the shipping cost by adding any item or kit to your cart then updating it with your and postal code and continue with by selecting your carrier for a full shipping quote.

$62 shipping to Australia - That's the only reason why I haven't bought them yet

You need to line up 5+ things to buy in one go to make it worthwhile. Its the same for all US vendors, not just ECS.

True, it's an additional $2 to post when you add a BBK to the order.

**Must resist on a bulk order from ECS until I get a tune on the R**

Haha - see my tuning thread here (http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f20/dna-tuning-vw-golf-r-dyno-results-feedback-71468.html), no need to spend $1200-1400+ on a tune. You can have 200+kw at all four wheels for under $1,000. With the money you save you can buy some stuff from ECS.

Not bad for shipping across the world if you ask me. :P

This, make that order worthwhile - Add something that you know you will need down the road like a service kit, that will help offset the shipping cost!

Side note - Feel free to PM me for a possible distributor near you, I would be glad to help!

I eventually ordered the mk6 kit yesterday even though I felt so terrible paying the USD62.00. I guess I just couldn't resist the convenience that comes with the hatch pop. How I wish there was an Australian distributor for them.

I'm pretty sure Seb (bug_racer) is an Aust distributor but I haven't asked him on the price for the kit yet.

That would definitely save us some ridiculous shipping charges!

I eventually got my ECS Tuning hatch pop kit installed and the following are my conclusions:

1. It works alright as advertised. BUT

2.Your hatch now becomes a pain to close because you have installed hard struts. You'll actually need your two hands plus some force to close it henceforth.

3.The height of the open hatch door now becomes somewhat reduced, if you are 5"7 or taller be ready for head bumps from time to time, plus the days of standing straight under your open hatch have now gone.

IS IT WORTH IT? My short answer is no. I quickly went back to stock and got my peace back.

And....it cost me AUD176.00 delivered.

Just my 2 cents everyone!!!!
