After thinking about buying one now or wait for the V6TDI version, I've jumped onto the 2.0TDI Amarok.
Delivered within 7days :)
Since, the only options I've wanted were;
17" alloys
Lights and Vision Package (auto wipers and lights)
Tow bar

Here it is waiting to be driven.
7595

...and here at home.
7596

...and here after the 550km first trip to Mt. Gambier
7597

It's a pleasure to drive, the 8speed auto is just brilliant and 420Nm from 4 cyl. engine seems good enough for normal driving. The fuel economy on a very hot 43deg.C was 8.2L/100km (calculated from the fuel docket) while the average speed for the 1100km trip was 98km/h according to trip computer (the car was loaded up one way only).

I've got the plugs for the interface connectors when you want to start adding accessories.

I'm getting pretty handy with Amarok wiring. The guys at ausamarok keep me busy figuring out stuff.

I may take your offer. I have a spare OPS kit front and rear, that I may install in Amarok once I get my ARB bulbar (mid March).

Excellent purchase does that mean the Tiguan is gone?

Congrats.
Pretty impressive fuel economy, considering the size of it!

The Tiguan is my wife's. The Amarok will get used for smaller jobs, like performance remaps, programming, audio installations etc. I was tossing between getting the Crafter (for more space) and sell the T5 or get Amarok and keep the T5. I just couldn't say goodbye to my T5 4Motion, so I've decided to keep it. :)

Thanks mate.
Yeah, it was a hot day, so not bad fuel economy. I'm sure it will get even better once the canopy is fitted on Friday next week.
