Phone Contacts List Problem (Mk7 Golf)

I have an Alcatel phone which links to my Mk7 Highline, but the contacts list only appears as phone numbers, no names showing. Does anyone have any idea how to get the display to show the names?

Suggest making sure your phone is running the latest update/firmware first before going any further.

Thank you, for the suggestion, but I found the Alcatel Website very confusing and was unable to find any update software.
