Windscreen replacement - AAMI

Hi alll,
friend got a crack on a windscreen and realised he did not include in insurance cover..the quote is very high and just wondering if he can add the cover now (50$), wait few weeks and claim?

has anybody been in similar situation? The cover allows 1 free windscreen per year and doesn't mention anything about waiting period..can they reject the claim ?

Well, you could do it, but its technically insurance fraud, and now you've written your intent in a public forum. Whoops!

It's probably best you ring your insurance company & ask them what they think of the idea.
