Shiny new headlights

Hi folks.

Has anyone bought/ installed a set of these?

My headlights are starting to look scruffy again. I tidied them up with a restoration kit a couple of years ago, but am reluctant to do it again. I reckon a nice new set would freshen up the car no end.

Non-genuine parts will never, ever fit as well as a genuine item and are almost always built to much lower standards.
To top it off, they will fade quicker than your genuine ones, and need more frequent restoration.
I'd just polish up the ones you have. Don't buy a kit. Some 2000g wet & dry, and a drop of polish is all you need. It'll cost you $1 if you have some decent polish at home already.

If you never want to polish them again, seal with Optimum Opti-Lens Permanent Headlight Coating, headlight coatings protectants (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-lens-headlight-coating.html) Not sure where you can get it in Australia though, try emailing Car Care Products

I took to mine with some 2000 grit today, they came up great but still need to be sealed, any advise or links to products would be appreciated.

I contacted these guys as they are relatively local to me to see if they can clear coat them for a low cost now all the hard works done.

I've looked into it a bit more since the other day, and it seems like many pro's use a high quality paint sealant on headlights.
Think along the lines of http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/optimum/opti_seal or Car Care Products / Nanolex / Exterior / Paint Sealant / Premium Spray Sealant (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/nanolex/premium_spray_sealant)
