I miss the Golf R in two door form. Either VWA brings out a better spec Scirroco or hopefully for me - it brings out the new Golf R in two door form...

With the black finish rims and headlights too :)
I like the more subdued line across the headlight in the R

Wasn't that just someone's guess at what it will look like (combining the Mk6 R with the Mk7 Golf) = don't think it's legit.

Won't happen. S3 is 5dr only and use to come in 3dr.
bloody annoying and makes BMW the only german 3dr hot hatch/small car available on the aus market.

So isn't the Scirocco a hot hatch? With the Scirocco here a 3 door R will never happen (and few will miss it) especially since VW seem to have consolidated the choice in their range of Golfs. I wonder if there will be a 3 door GTI?

IMHO despite the R moniker, the Scirocco is really comparable to a 3 door GTI like the Edition 35 as both are front wheel drive.

small car so I assume the 1-coupe until the 3 door hatch is available.

Indeed, the 135i is a killer drive.
