On sale till 11/Aug Much cheaper than the $93 for dealer sold Castrol Professional III Longlife.

It is suitable for DPF equipped engines and other petrol engines from approx 2009.

If in doubt read your manual.

I use it in both of my cars

Cattledog says Save $7.25 so not as cheap as last lot as you say as I think I paid about $65 -$69. Still a bit of a saving and $18 cheaper than the Castrol Equivalent. Just giving a heads up Nothing more

The Shell Helix Ultra Extra 5W30 504/507 remains stable at around $65, but I've seen it cheaper on occasion.

Ive never liked Shell Helix oil since I used it in a Taxi years ago. For some reason it drank more than an a Aussie shearer on a hot day.

Put it onto Agiip and it was 100% better, used hardly any.

Have used the Penrite 15W-40 Diesel in my Cruiser and it used hardly any at all on a 50,000k trip around the block. Only time I topped it up was when it wasnt filled properly at a service.

So for $10 will stick with it I think

I've used both the Penrite 5w-30 and Shell 5w-30. I didn't notice any change in oil consumption, it happily drank both at the same rate.

My engine is one that consumes a fair amount of oil without any side effects
About 2~3 litres per 10k - no misfires, starts fine every time, no dirty bum, no oily exhaust
Because of this, and because I do the occasional track days, I wanted to try a 40 weight oil
So on my last oil change I've switched to using Penrite Enviro+ 5W-40
The engine is now quieter and feels smoother - I'm loving it
Have to admit I put some fuel injector cleaner into the tank at the same time

Because of the occasional track days and my stage 2 tune, I am changing the oil at 10k intervals (rather than 15k)
(Looking at the state of the oil coming out of the engine, I'm planning on reducing that to 8k)
