Hi

is anyone familiar with the diagnostics produced from the Ross Tech software? Reason for asking is that my Passat has just come out of warranty following the 3rd and final service in April 2013 at 41000 Km's. Nothing other than an aging battery identified (and yet to be changed). Since that service I have had some really weird navigation displays from the GPS (RNS 510 I think). Currently, on my way to work I appear to be traveling 5 Kms off the coast!!
My brother has a legit copy of the Ross Tech software and appropriate connection for the Passat (he owns a Karmann Ghia restoration business). We connected the software on the weekend and it produced a number of fault codes - primarily aimed at the RNS 510. It seems to indicate that these faults existed at an odometer reading of around 31000Km (when the 2nd year service was done. Unsure why these fault codes and mileage readout still exist as the Dealer service advises that the service interval display was reset. However, I don't believe this was the case for the 2nd service or the most recent one as I still have the display coming up to 'Service now'. I have the diagnostic readout and intend to go in and discuss this with the dealer but would like to be informed as much as possible with respect to the diagnostics. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers
