Has anyone had any experience with these?

Looks like a great upgrade from the standard unit:

An upgrade for $399???

If you look through the threads you would see that VERY FEW non standard units are completely compatible with VW vehicles.

If you want to try your luck go ahead but dont be surprised if you find it isnt as good as it appears.

Looks ok; 3 potential issues you would want to try and cover off;

- Amp is junk (not loud, does not sound as good as stock head unit)
- Programming is junk (custom GUI)
- That it fits (out double-din pocket is not overly deep, I'd also be concerned about those side tabs and if they tuck / what you'd mask the edges with.

Good luck, interesting idea.

Thanks for the tips!

Installing EX launcher or something similar would sort the GUI, they also make models with square bezels that would suit the polo, as for the amps thats a damn good point, we'd have to wait for a decent vendor to jump on the technology for that to happen no doubt..
