In wondering if anyone has put an aftermarket spoiler on their Roc?

If so what are the options? I feel like the back is a little lacking, I did see a Rising Blue in Melbourne
that appeared to have a large black wing? Are you a member here I wonder?

The Cup spoiler is an OEM VW part and can be sourced from a number of sites in Europe or you can try Ian at Rennenhaus. Alternatively there are plenty of Chinese copies through Google.

Rear valance is Japanese exceptional quality and fit available in plain poly carbonate or Carbon fibre. Enquire through Budi at Autotechnik.com.au

Remove the 3 pieces of interior trim on the hatch... undo 5 nuts (one has a plastic cover on it), unclip the hi-level brake light connection and give the whole spoiler a decent tap and it will come off...

Just be aware that if you go for the Votex wing like Kevin's that it doesnt "bolt" on like the original... It is glued on and would not be easy to remove again should you want to... not sure why you would want to remove it though...

It really isnt difficult... to remove the spoiler anyway...the following pics give you a pretty good idea...

Remove the interior trims on the Hatch (3 pieces) using trim removal tools preferably...

Disconnect the high level brake light and remove 5 off nuts (10mm socket). 3 of them are shown here inside the green circles.... NOTE... I would invest in a magnetic pick up tool as you will most likely drop at least one of the nuts inside the Hatch....

This pic shows the spoiler off and you can see the 5 captive bolts and 2 red plastic clips... it is these clips that require you to give the spoiler a bump with your hand to release it... once you have undone all 5 bolts.

Last one shows the hatch closed without the spoiler....

Re-installation is a reversal of the above... all pretty simple.

What are your plans on the roof DIY??

To be honest..it really isnt worth trying to wrap the roof yourself... the cost of quality film in a large enough piece to do the roof will not be too far off having it done professionally... but... good luck.. I hope it works out for you...
I ended up taking mine off... while it was originally very glossy it is very soft and you end up with fine scratches from washing the car...

I totally agree with you about the cost being close to getting it done professionally, but just a bit of fun. If it doesnt work out im outta pocket 120 soo nooooot to bad.
