Just wondering if anyone is going along to the racewars event. Its on the 6 and 7th of April, theres a few guys over on vwgolf.net thats going, just wanted to know if anyone is keen on cruising up with us?

Im just a spectator, I was thinking of leaving sometime on Saturday maybe like 9? Would love someone to drive up with, i have paid for a car pass but mates have bailed on me so its only me in my car. Would you be keen on cruizing up with me?

I will probably be driving up Sat, but will be taking my own car, if anyone needs a ride up then they're welcome to come, otherwise I'm happy to meet up somewhere and convoy (makes the drive a little more exciting). I think they're trying to organise a convoy on vwgolf.net.au but I think that's for Sunday.

Yeah I've been hanging around both threads but I believe they are going Sunday, where abouts in perth are you mate? But I shall convoy up with you, and I do have a few extra seats as of now if anyone wants a lift, if there is a convoy thing going. Should be a good weekend, everyone gunna be camping?

Ok...looking for EOI's to join me on a drive up to Wyalkatchem on Sunday 7th April 2012, to see the VW boys kick some butt.

Looking at leaving from BP, 226 Morrison Rd Midvale no later than 0630hrs. It's a bit over 2 hours to drive there (at posted limits), so want to take the chance to get some 98RON into the tank before we leave.

Any takers?

Hey Wynnston, I'm super super sorry mate but work has called me in this weekend and the pay is too good to pass up. Therefore I won't be heading up on Saturday any longer, or at all. Trust me I'm super devastated I've been excited since February for it. Make sure to take heaps of pictures and videos mate!

I had no idea on the scale of this event - I presumed it would be half a dozen locals in their WRXs and 200SXs.

It even got a mention in Motor Magazine.

Is it an annual WA event? Hope so as I might give it a bit more consideration next year

The 2009 RS6 and 2010 Lamborghini Superleggera were slower then the older E60 M5. The stock standard M5 claimed victory in all its classes :)

This was the first time it was run Gareth however they're already talking about improvements for 2014.
I mentioned on the day that 2 cars I would have liked to have seen were an RS4 and M3s of different generations.

Results are up! It was a hugely successful first event, spectating and driving alike. Particularly on the Saturday when an estimated 3K people showed up.

It was awesome. Unfortunately the timing gear didn't work properly but it was still a great weekend.

Well done to Wade and it was great to see Cam and Kynan out in their R20's suprising a few people.
