After being asked about fuel economy, and after finally working how to zero all the MFD data, I decided to give an economy run a go.
Since owning the car, my 'average' was 7.4l/100km. Well until I took two runs at happy laps it was, anyway.
I zeroed everything, and loaded a full tank of Shell 98 and checked all the tyres, and oil levels.
The MFD predicted 660 km from a tankful (45? litres). But after driving 200km with an average consumption of 6.6l/100km, the MFD predicts 560km to go.
So, I have 'saved' 100km, so far?
No special technique. Just driving normal 'auto' mode, gently going mix of highway/city. Air con is still on, just set at 22-24 degrees instead of arctic frost.
Might try a tank of that United Fuels 100 Octane next (15 per cent ethanol).
