Hey guys,

Just wanted to post a few photo's and info of my R32's sound system.
System consists of:

Hertz HDP 5 channel amplifier (under seat)
Hertz HSK 165 Component speakers for the front
Hertz HSK 165 Component speakers for the back
Hertz ES Dual Voice Coil 10" subwoofer custom fit in side panel in boot

Has Zenec head unit but changing to the Alpine 8"
Heres a link to youtube of the Zenec in my car

VW Zenec Navigation - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1XWTpJLBpY)

Install took a day (not including time to make sub enclosure)

Sound deadened all the doors and sides of the boot as well.

Everything was done at No Limit Car Sound Vision in Melbourne.
We still have the templates for the Sub enclosure so installs like this take less time now.
If anyone has any questions about the install let me know and I'll be happy to answer them

that enclosure looks great, presumably the sub is designed for a sealed environ? I really want to provide subtle bass improvement to my system without compromising boot space, that is pretty much spot on!

Very interested in the sub box... im after something exactly like that for my MK5 TDI (im 99.9% the boots are the same) may i ask how much?

Install looks great. Can I ask why your getting rid of the Zenec? I was actually just looking at installing one in my Golf.

The 8" Alpine looks good but doesn't interface with the canbus very well and also can't run the dual euro antenna, so you'll loose AM reception and FM won't be great.

The Am/Fm will sound fine, we're actually car audio specialists and we deal manly with Alpine and need the 8" on display in the Golf for customers to have a look at. The Zenec is still a fantastic unit though

We're pretty sure the boots are the same as well (although we haven't tried one). We can send the enclosure to you for around $400, although the enclosure is made to fit the Hertz 10" ES sub we have in there at the moment so you'll need to get that sub or one with the exact same dimensions because it only just fits. If you wanted we could include the sub and postage with the enclosure for $650

FYI We've done the exact same install on a Golf R as well

How much if I pick it up, I live in Melbourne also.

And may I ask the dimensions (I'm questing its mostly the mounting depth needed as it would be quite tight.

Was the R32 3 Door or 5? That'd change the boot a little bit

It's a 5 door you can see part of the back left door in the second picture

Its $400, and have a look at this link. It's the Hertz ES sub that's in there at the moment and it only just fits.

Sorry guys just realized I put the photos of the Golf R install not the R32 we did.
The photos were pretty much exactly the same and the install is really similar as well, my mistake lol
