Does anyone know the widths of the two black stripes along the lower flanks of MK1 GTis? :?

12mm and 50mm. Too easy. :wink:

I thought they were 49mm, 15mm gap, 9mm.
Not much of a difference anyway :wink:

Well i measured mine off the genuine article. I think i'm qualified to use a ruler too!!!! :lol:
I read somewhere there were two different sizes depending on the age of the car.....

Wow is there another genuine mk1 GTI in Hobart.
We must be GTI city.
I tried to measure the black GTI stipes on my car today but didn't know where to start so I gave up. :cry:

Not out to cause any trouble but I have a customers 83 GTI at work at the moment. And yes, it is a known car by all concerned. Pretty original too. :D :D :D :D

No, Toms done 3rd&4th gear syncro hub. He's been away for 18 months & will be back in August. Yeah, that thing goes real well with the 2 litre. Good condition too except for the sunroof. :D :D
