Can anyone point in the right direction to start with cleaning polishing or maybe respraying 2nd alloy wheels. Thanks in advance Jameshttp://img6.picsplace.to/img6/18/thumbs/P4080293.JPG (http://img6.picsplace.to/img.php?file=img6/18/P4080293.JPG)

Depends how easy or difficult you want to make it for yourself. I've done something like this before and it was a bit of a pain.
The quickest way to get them stripped back without taking the tyres off the rim in my oppinion is with paint stripper. You can then polish and sand the rims or how much ever you want with "wet and dry" and then something like "autosol" metal polish. Or you could use a buffing wheel in a power drill with the buffing compound or something like that to get them shiny. Then spraying them is the easy part, after you tape up the tyres if they're still on the rims.

Not saying this is how you should do it, just how I did it.

Either way you'll need a lot of elbow grease. Very satisfying though.

Thanks for that, if they look as good as your,s do in the pictures it will be worth it.

Thanks

Just take your time and it's all possible. (with alot of elbow grease!)
Are they off a 924? Nice.

I don't think so as the logo is not Porsche, they well maybe an after market job, I'll find out off the seller. Can't wait to get the Passat hooning 'round the corners on some sportier wheels and rubber. :D

They fit perfectly even over the floating disc.

Chrome spray makes em shine in the dark. Get it clean underneath and it wont come off.

I`d say they were Honda rims. But thats ok

:? wheel adapters? I've seen Fuchs on golfs and they are 5/130.
They are an identical style to late 924 Turbo rims. Could be replicas I guess. Nice anyway.

You could paint the centres black and then polish the outer lip. Would help with hiding brake dust too!
