Hey guys, I am keen to go for a spin this Saturday (8th) through Toodyay and Chittering, who else is keen? We should try and make it for an early start to beat the traffic. How does 930am at the DNA (double helix) tower in Kings Park sound?

If this is too far to mission for those living east of Perth, then you are welcome to meet us at the Caltex on Toodyay road a bit after that.

Hope to see you there.

Hi guys,

Would love to come on Saturday but have to organize my 30th b'day party which happens to be that day.

I'm off to the drags tonight at Kwinana (not racing yet) so if anyone of you go maybe we can meet there.

Daniel

Ah **** eh... I don't have my car atm... getting a new clutch in. Never actually been to the drags myself.

Now that the weather is warming up we should be organising cruises more often. Usually it is up to Toodyay as the roads are clear and twisty. Open to other suggestions for future cruises however.

What do you drive mate?

ARGH! Why the POD? the R32 comes with a CAI as stock...

balkanac

CAI is still there. I took the top half of the box off and the filter sits in the bottom half. After driving if you put your hand on the front of the filter you can feel it being cold, so it works fine.
I put the filter on coz i had it on previous car and i wanted to see what will happen, if it' gonna make a difference. I put it on and disconnected the battery for a few minutes and the car is much more responsive now! i can't believe it!
I was gonna get a proper CAI from US but they wanted US$300 for the CAI and another US$350 for postage!!!
POD works beautifully considering that i paid $60 for it :)

What do you drive mate?

HEHE, hardly a performance car... 96 Golf GL.

What i meant was this setup will pull hot air into your engine. A mate of mine had a pretty good setup on his R32, he's over in NSW now though.

I like golfs mk3. They are nice cars. I like all VWs :)

it does pull some hot air, but its good for now. Seems like you have to spend a lot of money to get a proper CAI for an R32. I used to drive a Liberty B4 and i put a MRT CAI and that costed $350 installed

balkanac

runamuk

Maybs... will have to drive like grandma's though... Pretty keen for a 'spirited' drive with my new clutch.

balkanac
06-09-2007, 01:57 PM

runamuk
06-09-2007, 02:29 PM
Wouldn't mind a 'spirited' drive? Or driving like a grandma? hehe.

We could drive up to Serpentine Dam and have a barbie?

So far; me, Pedro, Igor, Ben, Alex, maybe Matty and you.

balkanac
