ive driven a k04'd mk4 gti a long time ago and it was sweet.I have the k03s on mine and it goes better without burning a hole in your pocket!
you can also contact milan www.tccamotorsport.com.au as he has done many of these upgrades.

K04's FTW heaps of places do it there are mechanics in Melbourne that can help you:)

theres a few of them driving around in melb that has been GIAC'd. also a few up in sydney amongst other chips
your looking at $2500-3800 fitted with new injectors, chip, etc completely roughly from memory. just on the tex and ask, i think one guys nick was robdub or somethin from memory but ive prob been wrong. some other dude was also selling his k04'd golf as well recently, should be in FS section i think... (guessing here)
seb is currently doing a 'group' order if your interested from ECS currently. shoot an email bug_racer@yahoo.com maybe.
I've got a K04 in my GTI (but it already had it when I bought it). I can only compare to an unchipped GTI with a K03... and it's a different ball game.
Was looking at another turbo about a couple of days ago, but I think I'll put that on the backburner.......

get a atp kit bolts on to kkk manifold comes in gt2x gt28rs and gt2817r.

I think you need to modify the exhaust or something to that measure, but I'm no expert :D
VF Engineering also do this check out there website aswell!

its a bolt on application as the k04 is directly related to the k03.
get a atp kit bolts on to kkk manifold comes in gt2x gt28rs and gt2817r.
i think its atpturbos.com

right guys mind has been made up... im going for the k04 i have done my research and ko4 will go well with my revo! i should see min 145/150kw atw.
i have done everything else that should be done before the k04 so i should be sweet...

my mechanic will mostlikely be hooking me up with that. i am still going to get quotes from a place in burwood (vic) called volk power.
also the revo dealer here in vic has a few on offer but i havent got the price yet
i saw one on ebay but it seems to cheap to be safe, and its made in asia. ( are all k04's made there?)

Still, the K04 that's getting around at the moment for $799 - would it really make that big a difference? $799 sounds like a fairly good price doesn't it?
From what I understand there are a fair few bits and bobs you want to have done first before doing the K04?

thats right...essentials would be your full exhaust fmic is not totally neccessary but it helps heaps and a 3-4 bar fuel prssure reg.

milan had australia's first k04'd golf for 2 yrs without a larger I.C with no issues.fuel pressure reg/injectors is essential.

Revo dont make a chip for dbc Golf 4 KO4, do they? The first K04 is sitting at Sebs workshop at the moment been on the hoist for a while now actually :)

It was in the car when I bought it, sorry not much to compare against, haven't driven any other GTIs :? But according to the Oettinger site it's rated at 169kw now when stock was supposedly 110. I'm yet to get it dyno'd to confirm that.
