Hi what do you guys think of these tail lights being offered by a company in Taiwan? I think they look quite modern and the best example I have come across yet. The last picture is a quick photoshop I did. I have also included the web link here:

2009-2011 Volkswagen Tiguan Tail Light with LED Refitting,View Volkswagen Tiguan Tail Light ,winpower 2009-2011 Volkswagen Tiguan Tail Light Product Details from Guangzhou Hualuying Electronics Ltd. on Alibaba.com (http://wplamps.en.alibaba.com/product/691775466-213730092/2009_2011_Volkswagen_Tiguan_Tail_Light_with_LED_Re fitting.html?edm_src=sys&edm_type=fdbk&edm_grp=0&edm_cta=read_msg&edm_time=realtime&edm_ver=e)

Maybe with enough interest there could be a group buy to get the cost down?

FWIW, a bit too Tetris for my liking!

Nothing wrong with the stock lights on the Gen 1 and could get more for buck spending money elsewhere.

Hi aussietig have you seen anything better out there? I feel the rear lights on my R Line look really dates as the design has remained the same since 2008 and there are other VW models dating back from 2006 which have a similar design as well. It's a shame VW changed the design on the facelift model otherwise it would have been a relatively easy swap.

Yes I've looked at replacing both front and rear lights but haven't found anything that looks really OEM and a step forwards from what I've already got. Those ones I'd have to say are pretty reasonable (in the photos at least).

First things for me would be some headlights with inbuilt LED DRL's and then some nice looking rear lights to suit.

These are all on my wish list but are all reasonable $$ upgrade items.

Pity we don't get the R-line body kit here as I think it improves the look heaps with all body coloured plastics.

The R Line is what I have but at only a year old my car is already looking dated from the rear when the likes of Audi and BMW have been using LED tail lights for at least 3 years now. Even the 2012 Tig lights aren't true LED's.

I took the plunge and got a set of these LED tail lights, the MY12 tail light is growing on me.
The fit and finish of the product is not bad 8/10 not as good as OEM but acceptable.

It's plug and play no error code apart from the rear fog light is on different side. I've disabled the rear fog for now anyway.

Hi there mate why have you disabled the fog light - is it not legal being on the wrong side?
Also what issues did you find with the fit and finish?
Finally, do these have halogen turn signals or LED?
