I am going to be changing my spark plugs to NGK bkr7eix.
I have not idntified a similiar tread highlighting GAP and torque for the plugs.
So ......for my 9n3 Polo Gti 2009 ...
What is the best GAP to set, and whntighening the plugs, to what torque setting ?
Thanks

bkr7e is what u want gapped to .28". i think the torque is 20nm. the ones you listed are pre-gapped but not the right gap

I ran the same plugs at .28" gap until I swapped over the 2.0TSI coils, now run a .38" gap.
I always just tighten the plugs up till I can tell the washer has compressed and then ~1/8 turn more to nip them up. No need to over-tighten. Chuck some anti-seize on the spark plug threads while you're there.
Iridium's are a bitch to gap...

I'm glad someone started this thread - I'm about to replace my plugs and gap them to a .40 or similar using the 2.0T Coils.
Any better suggestions other than putting new stock ones in? I'm new to all this spark plugs stuff - this is my first petrol car! I've only owned TDI's beforehand!

I run my gap around 0.35, 0.40, never noticed an issue, then again, I didn't before I re-gapped them.

Usually says on the box how to tighten them.

I use BKR7E in mine. Gapped from the box, no running issues, but they don't last as long as platinum plugs obviously.
Same in my S3 as well.

cheers Gavin. My GTI being used I don't know when they were last changed. Can't hurt, and possibly will improve things.

If you have VCDS you can often see timing being pulled due to poor plugs. I had a bit of a miss at the last happy laps, new plugs fixed it. They are so cheap, it has to be the first thing to swap.
