VW Beetle RSi - Racing Cup Version was built in 2000 by Volkswagen Motorsport Germany based upon the Limited Production New Beetle RSi (unfortunately never released in Australia) to contest in the 2000 New Beetle Cup. Following the conclusion of its first German season, Volkswagen Group Australia purchased this RSi along with another to contest the 2001 Australian GTP Series.
