Hi guys
I have a K04 in my possession. Its in perfect condition and comes with the manifold, oil and water lines.
Also comes with the OEM K04 discharge pipe.
It was going to be used for my upgrade but since then have had second thoughts.
It has little k's on it and is practically new.
This turbo will not fit the MK6 GTI or polo 9N.
Price: $1000.

I would say yes it would if it was the tiguan TSI turbo engine. I think it's the same setup as the GTI but don't quote me. As for gains, definitely yes. It's a K04 not a K03. Much more gains my friend.

just to clarify: this will only fit an EA113 engine and not the EA888?

if the exhaust housing/manifold was changed to suit an EA888 would it fit that way?

If someone could chime in to clarify but I'm pretty sure it's the turbo muffler off the turbo outlet that is different.

I believe it's for the TFSI engine and won't mate to a TSI engine

HPA provide some details on K04 modifications performed for use on a TSI engine


The factory Borg Warner K04 turbo that is equipped on the Golf R / S3 is a much more robust turbo with a higher operational boost range, while still mounting on and integrating seamlessly with the stock compentry. We modify the OEM K04 compressor cover, to allow the factory K03 diverter valve to be installed in the OEM location via a CNC port adapter, saving the consumer from purchasing unnecessary plumbing and mounts to complete the installation.

We also remove the turbo muffler to accomodate an HPA designed CNC machined fitting allowing the outlet pipe of the turbo to be rotated to clear the block, and to increase airflow out of the unit. This has the added side effect of a less muffled and smoother air stream exiting the turbo.

A laser cut block off plate for the OEM S3 PCV system is included with all K04 kits as this port is not required on a TSI motor.

You are correct. It is a straight bolt on to the MKV. All you need is a DV relocation kit which is available through forge, BSH, AWE etc for around $250. The DV relocation kit is required because the factory fitted K03 has the DV attached to the turbo housing. With the K04 it does not hence why you need this simple kit which relocates the DV to a similar position to the new MKVI golf R/ED35/MKV Pirelli engines/ etc.
Reason for selling is I am getting married and I need the cash. This is a very regretful sale. I don’t want to sell it but happy wife happy life they say. :)
