Pics up GPS signal within seconds and has never lost a connection to it unlike some portable devices i have used.

Just a question with the included: CTSVW002 can bus s/wheel interface kit and CTALPINELEAD C2 interface alpine lead.

Does this mean its a plug and play with Golf MK6 but you do get any integration info on the W900E such as air conditinning or mobile phone/book integration on the dash console MFD?

If there anything else you might miss out on the display that you would normally with RCD510 on MK6's with W900E?

yes it is plug and play but you do miss out on the air con display, and no, no mobile phone book popping up on the mdf display either.
Alpine have released a new integration kit though

seems to support mdf display now, but i cant say for sure as i have never used it.

I chose the Alpine unit over the stock unit for a few reasons.
I preferred, the sat nav, ipod integration was so much better with full speed control.
I also had plans to add to it, with amps etc etc, but it never eventuated.
