I had just got it back about 3 weeks ago…after it was gone for about 6 weeks to do all the work… the night I got it back it got hit by a truck….!!! But all fixed!
The wheels are 18x7.5 inch.

Nice - They look sweet in black..

Does the front mount make much difference?

And holy **** how tiny is the profile on your rims.. Tyres look like rubber bands lol.

yeh surprisingly the front mount pushed my car to 116km atw with just an exhaust. No computer or extra boost or even a proper CAI. So thats like a 26kw atw increase from stock

Hehe yeh the profile is tiny… a lil too small I think… they are 35’s u can feel every little bump on the road!!!

Welcome mate, great to see another MK4 GTI!!! :D

Did you notice a difference with the 4.0Bar FPR, did you need that in conjunction with your mods. i.e. was it starving of fuel?

yeh there was a slight difference (in terms of power) with the pressure reg, we put it on because the car was starving of fuel, the computer couldn't richen up the mix enough.

The fuel consumption has not changed

Ohhh yeh they are great! I still have my stock wheels at the moment and it feels wonderful, when i get my 18's it will be a little bumpier however it handles so nice! They are a great ride for coilovers!! You have to go for a ride in someone's that has them before you make your choice!!

Welcome mate. Love the car, looks wicked. I'm starting to seriously consider some coilovers too. You'll have to keep us updated on your progress.

And yeah I agree on your rubber, it's anorexic!

awsome wheels ngolfu, i have been looking at the exact same set for my black bora but not many people in vic keep a big range of gmax on hand so its wicked to actually see them on a mk4. I had a pair of 17" gmax on my late golf III and they are very solid wheels IMHO. I have just recently purchased a set of coilovers myself and after a lot of research i went for the height adjustables by bilstein. they have taken about 1000km to settle and i might have to pop back into pedders for another wheel alignment and maybe raise the back just a tad but apart from that they are gold. Handling is awsome and the ride isnt as bumpy as i imagined though im sure this will change when i find a set of 18". Is there anyway you could post another pic or two of some side shots of your car please. Im really diggin those wheels even more now.:)

i cant get over the profile, geez the tires really do look like rubber bands. Man are you sure they are 18's :? they look HUGE!! maybe they gave you 20's by accident.. lol. Looks the beez neez though but i bet you can really "feel" the road.. did you have to go that profile with the 18's to fit the car or did you decide to drop off some rubber?? I wonder if they would go on my bora wiv a tad more rubber as together wiv my coilovers i think i wud rattle out my fillings

this is the only dish i could find for mk4 by gmax, they come in 18x8, 18x8.5, 18x9, 18x9.5 or 19x8, 19x8.5, 19x9, 19x9.5 and 20x8.5, 20x10. really nice wheels IMO. I have been quoted around $340 as far as i remember for the 18x8 (do you think your guy could beat that ngolfu?) The guy at good year also told me that he can get VW caps for them but i think he was pulling my leg.
