agree, 160000 hasn't even run in, my Mk2 done 360000 it still going strong.
I suppose it is an 8V, 7.5K is a bit over though.

Whilst it may not be a 'bargain' at 7.5K. I think it's a very reasonable price condsidering the condition. The interior, body and paint all look to be in fantastic condition!
And it's not like you can just pop down the road and buy one of the other mint mk 2' 2 drs that are for sale... :(

ARRRGGGGGHHHH....This is 1 suburb away from where I used to live in Brisbane. Seriously considering a road trip if I can get it for the right price.

I know. I'm amazed the kms are that low as well.

You guys have been buisy... I don't mean it in a bad way. Mine's done 160 and don't see it being that special. There's other lower kms mk2 out there. At 7.5k... I think he is scraping the barrel but you would struggle to find another like it.

Nice, but as previous $7.5k is a bit strong. $5.5k max i'd say, especially in Qld.

Is that rust bubble/staining at the bottom of the hatch? More so on the left.

It could be just wax.. Mine was littered with the stuff in the same spot when I got it.
The wax runs from the roof down the c pillars, past the lights and onto the rear bumper:(
Easy to clean up though

Yes it looks like wax from the hatch, in hot summers it leaks a bit.

I think its a decent price, looks to be in decent condition.
Definitely low kms for the age. On average.

That's only about 6,000kms in average per year, which is nothing, really.

.....aaaaand here it is in 2008 at UQ next to my VR6. I left a visit vwwatercooled.org.au under the windscreen wiper.
Called Garry and referred to rego as taxed... doesn't get any more UK than that.
The Mk2 hasn't changed... the mk3, probably got crushed and sent overseas for sorting/recycling. At least the good bits live on.

In great original condition that, he bought it over in 2000, and has had it since '92, second owner! Dash not cracked, no rust.... tempting, but a bit pricey for an 8V imo.

Considering I bought my 16v for less than that, I'd say its fairly pricey.
And the last UK 8v sold for just over 5k.

i still recon it was overpriced.. but maybe the body was really straight, and if no rust whatso ever then it was worth it. good luck to the new owner :)
