Put the arches back on bro. IMO

Back springs are chopped a lot, like in half! Fronts are 16v golf ones I think.

Wheels look horn

HAHAHA LMAO! mad dogg! it rode like choppies! haha. gunna rid the arches and get the arches flaired so they dont eat the tyres!! and cop the front down to even out :D after that if i can get a pair of jetta small bumpers faw cheap enough ima revert back to'em also . . . but for now thats it! after reading about steve working his VR it's put my mind back on track with the "project KI11Z" ;)

Cheers , , ,

dont have a camera so i couldnt show you all how badly the rear gaurds were eating, scraping and chopping my brand new eagle F1's! so I got jack of it and took it to the panel beaters and asked them to flare the rears using metal NOT fiberglass, and here are the results, looks almost stock imo . . . these are just pix from the sat cruize cuz my cybershot is a lil dated now, when I buy myself a new cybershot this week i'll be taking lotsa piccies . . .

On a side note how much did flaring cost for the jetta? Really sets it off!!

rayray086
12-11-2007, 05:46 PM
That's some good **** there Alex! x2 on the flaring cost - I hate the bloody rubbing.

Could you take some under-the-fender pics? I'd like to see how the other side of the fender looks like.

will do ray, just as soonz as i buy my new digi!

it costed $1200 :( . . . would've been a lot cheaper in fiberglass though. . . it was sumfin like 350 a side for the flaring and 250 a side for a lick of paint . . . cheers for the positive comments :)

Damn that sucks don't know how I'm going to go with the vr6:( Would rolling the fenders work? But then you have the arch trim :(

depends how much your sticking out? rolling the guards wont flare them, it mearly rolls that horizontal lip inside the arch back up on itself; You can have them pulled but thats only minimal cuz if you pull it too far it can suck in the rear quarter . . .

DubSteve
13-11-2007, 03:34 PM
Damn thats no good, I am having the same troubles at the moment and have not decided whether or not to keep the arches or get rid of them. I like them howeverare they going to get in the way when I get the wider rims that I want :(:?

KI11Z
14-11-2007, 03:41 AM
most prob . . . :? . . . how wide are your rims? will they stick out past even the flares?!

DubSteve
14-11-2007, 08:38 AM
Alex, I'm looking at getting 9s at the back with an et22 , most probably going to put that on a 215, or 225 depending on the goodness of the stretch:)

KI11Z
14-11-2007, 10:59 AM
So I doubt you'll be able to keep the flares :( Not unless they flare the gaurd then re-attach the flare . . . Good luck!!
