Hi All,
After the success of the Mk1 Driver's Group race car debut at Valla, the next meet is the VWDCQ Action Day at Wynnum on Sunday September 9th. The plan is for the group to meet outside the venue around 7-7.30am on Upper Esplanade, which is the road directly behind the park and where access to the grounds is gained. Entry is $15. All Mk1 drivers will be presented with a VWMA goodies pack and have their cars photographed for the MK1 Driver's Group section in the November issue of VWMA.
The following meet is VW Warwick on September 29-30th for the VWMA drags. I have already received five Mk1 drag car entries, so this is a new record for the number of Mk1s competing at a drag event in Australia! Full details of the event can be found at Volkswagen Magazine Australia. © 2012 (http://www.vwma.net.au)
VW watercooled cars receive their own lane, trophies and class to compete in, as well as the opportunity to qualify for the Top VW Shootout. VWMA also dedicates a H20 drag section in the November issue to cover the racing at Warwick.
See you at both events.
Cheers
Craig
