Hi Guys, I own a Volkswagen Multivan 2006 2.5 TDI Auto and only done 84,000km with no towing and easy country driving and it now has transmission problems. Driving yesterday it just stopped and would not go forward in Drive - engine still on and I decided to put in triptronic and still would not go. No indication that it was failing - it just failed in the middle of the road. I could reverse to move to the left but would not go forward. Now it has been at the mechanic today and he was run the computer over it and informed me that I need a new transmission worth about $5000-$6000. Question - does anyone know where to get this done and how much it will cost. I am located on NSW South Coast Near Batemans Bay. Do I need to have it towed to Volkswagen- 2 hours from Nowra or just over an hour from Bega. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
