Getting this out there early, Club Veedub cruise: 22 September 2012, cruise around Canberra with a BBQ at the end. Details to follow.

Shannons German Auto Display: 23 September 2012

Where: New location for SGAD is Treasury Building Carpark between Commonwealth Ave and Langton Cr, Parkes ( Across the road from the original site)

When: 23 September 2012, 10am - 3pm.

Cost: Club Veedub members $10, non members $15 (i know the flyer says $5, it was an early one and the only one i could find)

Bring: No drip tray, as it's on Bitumen this year, so no drip trays required :)

Register: at the Club Veedub tent on the day, but there may be the oppurtunity to preregister this year (TBC)

The above information is not the final word though, Conformation is being sought on this issue and I will update this post with any new information I recieve

There will be a big convoy leaving Melbourne Friday and returning Monday. Some that have to work/study will be coming up later Friday and zooming home Sunday arvo. If you can only take one day off id suggest Monday as the drive/cruise/photo shoot after the show is a winner!

Dont worry SGAD will go ahead, One of the venues we are looking at is a definate venue we can use. We are just looking at better venues if we can get them

SGAD committee planning was for 300 - 350 cars on the day (VW alone counted for 120 odd last year) and the car park has 500 odd car parks, so while space might be a little tighter than last year we shouldn't have too many problems :)

Due to the location this year, it is suggested that anyone wishing to display their car be at the show by 10:30am
There will be two entry points, the one closer to parliment house will be the VW entry point. As its a car park, its Club Veedubs intent to have 1 car to 1 car parking bay. I will update with any more information as I get it.

This is your major event so id hope you would want to attract as many car and general public as possible. A pro eye catching poster is something great to attract attention. I have arranged a German car dyno day on the Saturday at Autotech in Hume - not far off Tuggeranong. If people are interested and want to do the cruise as well let me know and I'll try work it some both can be attended.

Seriously though follow Valgameshs directions and you can't get lost. The carpark will mostly be empty at that time so you should see all the Dubs waiting to step off easily :)

Info for the day:

VW have been given six rows in the Carpark.

Entry for VW is the entrance closest to parliment houe (it'll be sign posted)

For those six rows the set up will be as follows:

Row 1 (closest to the VW entry point) Aircooled Beetles, all years

Row 2 Kombis, all years

Row 3 Other aircooled (i.e. Type 3's, Karmann Ghias, things etc)

Row 4 Golf's all marks

Row 5 Polos all marks

Row 6 All other Watercooled (Corrados, Passats Scriccos etc)

Also following on from row 6, toward the centre of the carpark will be where Audi (all models) will be.

Won't be a long cruise but please have a full tank. Sausage sizzle at the end of the cruise.

Entrants from 8.30am, different location this year, be early to secure a spot as we have finite parks and can't expand this year. Be early!
Marshals will direct you to a position.
At this stage we won't have space for large displays, e.g. Kombi annexes, etc, this will be reviewed on the day depending on attendance.
Entrants fee - Club VeeDub members $10 (checked on membership list), non-members $15.
