Hey Guys,

My Google skills have failed me here...

I'm after a Bluetooth and MDI install guide but can't seem to find anything decent on the net has one got some links to good guides for a Golf MK6?

Just in case there are model specific options this is the MDI Kit (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VW-SKODA-SEAT-MDI-AMI-MULTIMEDIA-BOX-iPod-iPad-iPhone-5N0035342-5N0-035-342-/200657182416?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb8199ed0#ht_3888wt_1270) and this is the Bluetooth "5K0 035 730 D" model.

Cheers

No responses :(

I found a decent Bluetooth retrofit guide that gives plenty of detail especially around removing the A pillar ect for those who need it it can be found here (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1296866/VW%20Genuine%20Bluetooth%20DIY.pdf).

Anyway installed my RNS-510 and MDI today but I've got some questions that you guys may know the answer to.
- In most of the RNS-510 retrofit guides they talk about removing the centre console air vents then putting the GPS receiver above that. Problem is I can't seem to figure out how to remove the air vents anyone know how to do this or have some pictures?
- Got the MDI connected and working as expected however I can't seem to find a good place to mount it in the glovebox where have you guys mounted yours is there an official place?

Cheers

What car do you have? Removing air vents was only necessary for the Mk5's, not the newer Mk6's.

In a Skoda Octavia the MDI unit goes behind the glovebox. There's 2 (looks like) 8mm threaded rods there for the factory mount postion.
