Timing Belt Change

I need to do my timing belt and was wondering where everyone has sourced their timing belt kits from and how much i should expect to pay?


Ive looked at ecs tuning but from what i can tell their stuff is for the 1.8t golf gti but apparently according to some the parts are not interchangeable except for the belt itself.

Also what does everyone recommend changing with the timing belt replacement??

Any Help would be much appreciated.

You are right in finding that the ECS kit will not fit the Polo GTI. The Polo part is BJX engine specific.

Yes, what Blitzen says, plenty of discussions about the timing belt.

My hint would be; For your next timing belt replacement interval, if you don't want to use the belt from VW, you have to ask ECS what their recommendation is - time and distance. :)
