i think the centre bore is small or it is on the set i have in the garage like 2mm, and i think they are the same, they can be machined in a sec or bring out the dremel or die grinder for an hour or two of fun

My ute's got 17's and they look and work just fine and they fit over the BIG brakes. My cabrio got 928 16's and they look and work just fine too!

has anyone investigated the old volvo 4 potters to see if they can be adapted to fit? You can pick them up for around $50 -$100 a pair and they mught just do the trick. Pads would be cheap too.

A friend of mine is using them on his beetle and they work unbeleiveably well. The only problem is they're very heavy, a lot of unsprung weight. I have been thinking of looking into them as well.[/quote]

I have heard that volvo 4 pots fit the mk1 hubs, but you need to drill through the fluid gallery and block off 1 hole, as they have brake lines coming in from each side of the caliper. But dont quote me on that
