Hi gang,

Recently I received my cable and software from VAG-COM and I made a few minor changes and all has been good....until now!

I have a bulb out light on the dash and a message flashes in the MFD advising the R & L brake lights need attention.

When I checked the globes on both sides of the car, all were ok. What I did notice though on the LHS is the reverse light and brake lights are on constantly while the engine is running.

I have scoured the net, and tried to identify in Controller 9 something abnormal but I couldn't find anything.

So what I'd like to do is to do a reset of Controller 9 back to factory.

Can anyone advise how I can do this? Exhaustive Google searching has not revealed a solution.

Thanks....

Mmmmmm things are not quite so clear now!

Since I took delivery of my can back in Nov 11 the 'Auto On' for headlights has always been selected. During my trouble shooting this arvo, I turned the switch off and the light problem went away..... all lights work.... though there is an interesting twist and that is the parkers no longer work when I turn the headlight switch to the parker position - tail lights work.... and when the switch is turned to the headlight position the headlights come on together with the normal operation of the tail lights - no parkers though.

Interestingly the DRL no longer work even though this is selected in the MFD settings.

Looks like things a bit screwy.

Can anyone shed any light (no pun intended) on this problem??

hmm......definitely sounds all screwed up!!

the only thing i could suggest is to perform a "factory reset" for "lights & vision", using ur maxidot.
unfortunately if this doesn't help, then i can't shed any other light on a solution, and i hope u find one soon!!!

Settings -> Lights & Vision -> Factory Setting

I wasn't sure if I'd do a factory reset that it would reset all settings... never ventured in that area!!

I'll give a crack on the weekend and report back!
