Drove at easter to Sydney to pick up the dash, steering column and some trims at Camden GTI (thanks for that Matt)

Interesting putting a Mk4 dash in the Mk1. Any particular reason other than you must love wiring ;)

A few years ago there used to be a company called deutsche car in the UK(I will check the spelling).
They used to exchange parts from one VW to another.
They used to have a G60 Cabrio with a MK2 dash seats etc.
Will have a look to see if I can find any pictures.
Your conversion looks very good.....and lots of hard work!

Thank you
at the first rebuilt the was not planed to fit a MK4 dash, but my mate came over with one and I thought lets try it. cause everyone in germany got the Audi TT in it. That was to expensive, so I said make something different. It fits, but it is a **** lot of work, some trims needs to be done with fibre glass.
I really like the dash, it suits well. especially with the 1.8T :-)
A dash from Mk2 is easy to fit in to. not a big deal.
There will be more work done on it. the engine is temporary, I going to built a 1.8T with GT28 on it, but not now.

You have a fluffy blue dash?
Don't know whether to applaud or shake my head but at least it's different.

Airbrushed? Now that is impressive. I hate to think how many hours went into making and painting it. :cool46:

yeah mate, first cutting the dash to make it fit. modify it and cover it with fiber glass. Weeks of sanding, filler, sanding work
