So, my MY12 Tiguan has been coded to accept the RNS and everything works fine except Voice Control doesn't work.

The VC button on the steering wheel presently just mutes the output.

I have read that the microphone input is presently for the BT only and it needs to be piggybacked into the RNS harness.

Can anyone point me to how to correct this issue ?

Try using the star button on the unit itself to activate voice control. If it doesn't pick up your voice then you need to connect the mic to the mic in on the RNS, then connect the mic out of the RNS to the mic in of the Bluetooth module.

To get the steering wheel button to activate voice control, you will need to code it to do so, it will not pick up, at least I don't think it will, whether a microphone is connected or not, rather it needs to be told, by coding.

James,

Yes, the lady summoned up when pressing the star key doesn't respond apart from saying Pardon !

Sounds like the mic ins need to be connected - issue is, just what wires do I need to connect ?

Coding isn't a issue - has been done...

The microphone button should be giving you the same result as the button on the RNS510 (just a repeated prompt/pardon) which means that bit isn't coded correctly yet.

This is interesting. Anyone able to tell me where the BT module is located in a Tiguan ?
