Hey all,

Was sorting some old racing videos I had on VHS and found this footage. Uploaded it before. Check this R33 GTR off the line at Calder in the 1999 GTP series. Awesome! lol

In other news the Nissan "V8 supercar" will actually run a reduced capacity engine from a Patrol haha.
They also have to add on an extra drag bodykit to make the falcadores competitive against it.

The GTR's destroyed the oposition due to effective use of AWD while we still had the VN/AU which get tail happy at the best of times.

Also, there was an old Swift GTI in the starting lineup?

Here (http://www.themotorreport.com.au/53892/2013-nissan-altima-v8-supercar-rendered) is a rendering of the Altima V8 Supercar.

I for one am excited to see Nissan back. Hopefully will spice up the format.

yeah me to. I don't care if they aren't on the podium, Kelly racing very rarely is, but to get out and mix it up a little is a good thing.

It was definitely more interesting.
I remember the old races where you would have vk commodores tearing up a straight only to have a mini cooper outbrake and outcorner them, before getting cained on the next straight.

Much more interesting than which colour shell (smae output, drivetrain, size etc) is in the lead.

I thikn they should only run factory setups also to make it more realistic.
