Hi All,
My wife wanted a yellow manual 306 cabriolet to learn on, but there was no way that I was going to drive that, so as in all good relationships we meet half way on a 306 GTI 6. Since owning it we have had no real issues with it (touch wood) and bang for buck I think the 306 GTI 6s are good value for money - Z3M Coupe Vs 306 Gti6 - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly7oP8RB3fg) (notice the time was 8.31 lap). Why did I join this group? - in QLD you seem to participate in activities I enjoy - driving fast but in a safe way (not into Safeway for you US ex-pats). We (I mean I) don't really have any real plans to modify the car at this stage (except for maybe a Power Chip), I just want to improve on what factory has done but better - I want to fit an oil cooler and maybe GreenStuff pads allround to the factory calipers. The car looks very understated and for a street car that's what I like. The only modifications so fare are Bilstein B4s (which do nothing) and an OMP upper and lower strut braces (I highly recommend this modification). The car runs the same tyre type that it came out with in the factory Pirelli P6s - I don't recommend these tyres and wish I got Kumho KU31 Ecsta STP's. Anyway have meet some of you round the trap and everyone seems cool and down to earth which is good - long live the Peugeot 306 Maxi (maybe if you are over 30 you may remember them).
Cheers.
