lol i found this the other day, made one up (the smaller one) the other day at work and then took a photo for my display pic. (i coloured mine black before printing it.
looks like they were done in paint. would have taken for EVER!

Thanks for this thread guys, I got my self a new hobby! here is my first attempt at paper models, yes I know, its not a VW, but it is one of the most beautiful cars ever made... my next project is a Citroen DS again one of the most beautiful cars ever,

these wheels were real hard to do so they look a bit dented, but I had heaps of fun doing this :)

My driving instructor has one of those a real GT, 43,000 original kays on the clock and bought from new in 1967 and it has no rust. I used to oogle it everytime he had to pick up his driving schedule from inside his house. I must agree with you that it is one of the most beutiful cars ever made, its realy a special car.
