What is this?

Installed new head lights (housings, not globe...will post pics soon) and interior lights...whilst doing the interior lights i came across this.

always wondered what it was...i thought this was the spot they put your controls for sunroof if one was fitted. i don't have a sunroof so what is this unit cabled for and what does it do?!

Yep, that's exactly what they are.

I didn't even know the car had an alarm until one day I had the windows down, but instinctively locked the car anyway. When I walked back over to the car as I reached the drivers door my movement activated the alarm and the siren went off.

Removing the interior light housing is quite easy, you just need to lever off part of it (you can use a credit card or similar) then the whole thing will click off.

I had an issue with one of my switches (the large toggle centre one) that I fixed with some super glue :)
