View Full Version : Release date earlier than expected!
Hi All,
I was inquiring about getting a firm date for delivery as I was going to sell my second car online (sold my XR4 in only 2 days! Put it up tuesday night). But it looks like i'll be trading it in.
The response below is from my sales lady!
Dear Bain
I have some great news for you
Due to popular demand from customers Volkswagen has brought forward the official release date for the Scirocco which means that your car will arrive into our dealership in the next couple of days
So we can estimate a delivery for you next week it could be early or late depending on what date the Scirocco arrives
This means that it not too long before you have your Scirocco, if you wish to bring the trade in to me so I can have it assessed that would be great

Well ZIO will have his Scirocco later this week I think... lucky so & so... :P
yeah i could in theory take delivery of it tommorow of i was in syd to pick it up from waitara! They have finished their pre-delivery.
Very exciting!

Notice I didn't say when I would be in Melbourne with it... :devilish:
Just got a call, will be picking mine up on Monday 8.45 in the morning! Woooooot!

Thats incredible. My dealer has my car in stock and advises me that delivery will be on the 4/2 (perhaps later!) as they are waiting on VWA to give the ok to release the car.

VWA have already given then go ahead. The cars started arriving yesterday at the dealerships. BW requires 3 business days to have the car ready to go (according to my sales chick). Id say its similar for other dealerships.

Its ready to go it dosnt have plates because its coming to VIC from NSW and I have to register it here.

My thoughts as well... I need to download WHEELS to my iPad so I can read why the Roc didn't win... but I am guessing they didn't like the ride quality...

Or that the little Honda is genuinely innovative and fresh,or that the Roc is somewhat more of the same from VW, or that they couldn't give it to what is really a three year old car or that it would be the third year that VW has won and they needed a year off before the Up! wins the 2012 COTY.
So I picked up my car today.
Unfortunately it was missing a few options! Namely the sunroof!!
After some negotiating we sorted it all out (got free tint). I decided to forgo the sunroof as I wasnt quite sure I liked the half black/half white roof in the first place.
It is such an awesome car to drive! Will upload some pics tonight.

That is why I am going to vinyl wrap the back part of my roof... so it is all black.. :banana:

I have a good idea where but I want to get an ETA on mine before I talk to them... Have a look in the Mk 6 threads.. there are a few Golfs in there with Black wrapped roofs.

Kidding no sunroof? thats like 1800 bux gone - id be negotiating for more than free tint (which costs 300 bux haha) Pretty disappointing , but congrats dude you got it before me :)
