So today i was under the bonnet doing a diesel purge (story for another time) and noticed what i believe are two issues.

The first issue is:

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/5193/misc1.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/213/misc1.jpg/)

It appears to be some sort of bracket that isn't hooked up to anything? I cant seem to figure out the purpose or location of where it mounts. Any ideas?

the second issue is:

http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/5139/sensor2.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/94/sensor2.jpg/)
http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/4532/sensorh.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/256/sensorh.jpg/)

Surely the wire to this sensor shouldn't be that stretched? There is no slack at all!
[edit] I believe this is the fuel temperature sender.

My fuel temp sensor loom is almost as short but I have the 125kw TDI.

Good to know. Thanks.

BTW I reckon that bracket is just left blank i.e. nothing is missing. It could be a thing that's cheaper to bolt on with nothing attached rather than remove it for assembly.

If it all works, just keep on keeping on.
