View Full Version : Daytime running lights on CC
Random question, does anyone know if the DRLs on a CC will throw a globe error if I replace with LEDs?
I've ordered some LEDs but haven't ordered any resistors. Bit of a holiday project, but I'd rather not get stuck waiting on more parts....
Not a CC, but my B7 does. Just pull a bulb out and turn them on. That'll tell you for sure without going to expense of buying and trying.

Thanks Clip. Hadn't thought of that. Gave it a try tonight and it definitely throws an error. Looks like i'll be buying resistors.

How did you go with this "holiday project", did it work ok?
What did you end up using?
Not great, but ok.
The eBay globes throw mfd errors, but they look great. I didn't want to cut the stock wiring, so haven't installed resistors.
Might try something else next time I get some free time.
