Which Cat to get for my MK5 GTI FSI

Gday all,

Ive scored a 3" down pipe from a bloke at work for a VERY decent price.
However it doesnt include a cat.

Im looking at getting a 200 CPSI cat off flebay or something similar as i dont expect to keep the car longer than 2 years.

Also it wont goto a track, just the Downpipe a BSH intake and lastly a Stage 2 Bluefin to keep me on the good side of standard.
Im retaining the rear section of the stock exhaust im still after some quietness.

They are well priced and as mentioned, im not after the best of the best.

Should be fine, they are obviously Chinese, but as most emission cores come from China anyway, they are probably all similar guts. Thing to watch is the actual coating, you can get cat cores without precious metals ( the actual catalytic coating ) and can specify which actual metals etc, so a person *may* sell a cat that doesn't actually do much at all.....leaving out Platinium for instance because it's expensive.

Not saying these people or anyone does, just saying in my dealings with emission cores from China, it certainly would be possible....they were happy to provide a uncoated core, and you kind of have to wonder whats the point apart from looking the part.

Yeah that makes sense why they can sell them soo cheap.
Your right about looking like a cat only - My goal is to be nsw legal.

Magnaflow Stainless 200 cel cat currently on special at $166.50 delivered. I don't have a 3" in stock, would be several days to get in especially with X-mas looming. Depends on your timeframe.
