Patients - any recipients of medical attention, care, or treatment.
Patience - the state of endurance under difficult circumstances.
Sorry for the grammar lesson but i had visions of people in with drips, dressed in surgical robes, poring over a MK1 wiring diagram :cookie:

Ive tryed but its bull**** RHD, they dont have the brake thing going across the fire wall or the clutch, speedo and throttle cable going from the right OVER the engine to the left. I couldnt work out a safe way to hide them. The wiring is easy thanks to the lack of it being a mk1, it just need patients.
Lucky them :(
My next plan is to minimize stuff in enginebay and hde wiring

I was at the Bathurst 12 hour all weekend. The works Audi R8 V10s totally dominated it - started on front row and pretty much led from start t finish. The winning car was matte black and driven by Marc Basseng, Daryll O'Young and Chris Mies.
So spectacular across the top of the mountain, waaaay faster than a V8 Supercar through all the flowing parts... just not Conrod/Mountain straight. It's close though - Lowndes' fastest race lap in the Bathurst 1000 last year was 2:08.8845. He did a 2:09.0861 in the Audi R8 yesterday, remarkable considering it was his first race in the Audi and that the cars have had no development compared to a decade of V8 Supercar evolution.
Anyway, here's a pic I shot of the winning car at dawn.

Lots of Very Special Porsches too.
Rare Museum Porsches headline 2011 PI Classic
Rare sports cars spanning six decades are heading from Germany’s Porsche Museum to the 2011 Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport from March 18-20 to celebrate Porsche’s 60th anniversary in Australia.
The headline act of the collection is the 935/78 coupe nick-named ‘Moby ****’ by Porsche race mechanics because of its large and extended ‘whale tail’.
Based on a production 911 body shell to Group 5 regulations, Moby **** was with climax of 935 race car development. Powered by a 621 kW (845 hp) turbocharged 3.2-litre six-cylinder development of the production 911 engine, it reached 366 km/h at Le Mans in 1978.
Perhaps the most recognisable of all Porsche racecars – the famous 956/962 which won the Le Mans 24 Hour seven times between 1982 and 1994 – is also part of the exclusive collection that will be seen at the Phillip Island Classic in March.
The car secured for Australia is the Rothmans 962 raced to victory in 1987 by Derek Bell, Hans Stuck and Al Holbert.
From the 1960s comes the eight cylinder 908/02 Spyder that won the 1969 Targa Florio and the 718 RS 60 Spyder that won the 1960 Daytona 24 Hour race.
Other special Porsches in the collection include the lightweight 911 SC raced by Walter Rohrl in the gruelling 1980 San Remo rally and a V10-engined Porsche Carrera GT road car from 2003.
The Porsches will all be demonstrated at the Phillip Island meeting, which has again attracted a huge entry of more than 500 sports, racing and touring cars for the third consecutive year – more than 30 of them from overseas.

I took this pic at the BMW museum at Spartenburg, in South Carolina. It was funny, looking at the block, seeing where the the old alternator mounts and other stuff from the stock 2002 1.6L had been machined off... What alot of people don't realise is that these blocks had done at least 100,000km in a normal BMW 2002 road car before they were made into a fire breathing monster... This is why they are classed as the most powerful production car engine ever produced.

hey clay,
yeah... it all started off with off axis cab 9's (corks) being introduced into big air comps... now, if you want to win, then you have to come with big s[ins and at least a double cork...
i think it's a trend... yes, these guys are technical riders, but give me a MFM style flat axis big spin any day, if you want my opnion...

Japan launches 'Hayabusa' bullet train
TOKYO (AFP) - Japan's latest bullet train, the thin-nosed "Hayabusa" or Falcon, made its 300 kilometre per hour (186 mph) debut, boasting a luxury carriage modelled on airline business class.
Japan has built up a network of cutting-edge Shinkansen train lines since the 1960s that criss-cross the island nation and now hopes to sell the infrastructure technology abroad, including to the United States.
The latest ultra-fast tech-marvel will make two trips a day from Tokyo to Aomori, a scenic rural backwater on the northern tip of the main Honshu island that has until now been off Japan's bullet train map. It will also make one more trip a day to Sendai, located between Tokyo and Aomori.

Air ride system install is spot on;
http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/196869_158656104191635_135942293129683_348556_3601 476_n.jpg
But the interior is a bit much;
http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/196959_158656197524959_135942293129683_348560_6955 818_n.jpg
but look at that ass
http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/images/imported/2011/03/DSC02137-1.jpg
And before the massive debate about air ride on an RS4 kicks off, it was built by the owner of a firm that specialises in air ride installs as a demonstrator to see whether air suspension systems work on high performace cars.

The view of the RS4 from behind looks great. Every other angle not sood good.
The interior is enough to have the car legally removed from the current owner

I've just sold my FPV GT-P and honestly its a great car. I typically keep a car for 2-3 years but kept that one for 5 yrs. My only gripe was the bogan mentality that sky-rocketed everywhere I went - saw some really moronic stuff from HSV wherever I went.
I'm a little sad its gone, but I've just moved up to a whole new plane which I will never regret!!

A Porsche that will cost Australians at least $1.5m has gone on sale in Europe.
The German car maker has put a starting price tag of 645,000 Euros on its new 918 Spyder that won't go into production until late 2013.
Porsche will build only 918 units of the Spyder, which will be left-hand drive only.
Advertisement: Story continues below Porsche Australia says wealthy customers here can still order the 918 Spyder for use on a race track, though it has criticised the government for still applying the luxury car tax to a car that cannot be registered for the road locally.
"We have genuinely interested buyers [for the 918], even though they know it's left-hand-drive only," says company spokesman Paul Ellis. "It's absurd that luxury car tax should be applied to a car that cannot be registered for road use in Australia."
The luxury car tax adds 210,000 Euros to the price, and with GST and other charges means the 918 Spyder is a $1.5 million proposition for buyers.
Porsche says Australians are being denied the company's most fuel efficient model yet.
The two-seater 918, which will stay faithful to the 2010 concept car of the same name, is a plug-in hybrid estimated to use just three litres of fuel per 100km, with CO2 emissions of 70 grams per km.
It teams a 368kW mid-mounted V8 with two electric motors - one on each axle - that will produce a minimum combined output of 160kW.
The front electric motor effectively makes the 918 an all-wheel-drive car, with the V8's power sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
Porsche's 918 concept didn't feature a roof but the production version will include roof panels that can be removed by hand and stowed in the car's front luggage compartment.
Customers ordering a 918 will also be given the option to purchase a limited edition 911 Turbo to ease their minimum two-and-a-half-year wait for the supercar.
Both the 911 Turbo S 'Edition 918 Spyder' coupe and convertible feature different leather seats, instrument dials, extra carbonfibre touches and decals to regular Turbo S models.
In Europe, the 'Edition 918 Spyder' 911 coupe and convertible cost €173,241 ($244,000) and €184,546 ($259,000) respectively.

There's a few Lancias somewhere in the last 600 pages, but one more can't hurt

My wife wants one of these but wants the convertible not the coupe. If Porsche brings out a turbo 4 Boxster that would be a good engine to fit in one of these (would have to do it to a replica, couldn't screw up a genuine car).

i honestly cant understand the appeal of stretch. i understand some people like the appearance, and I accept that all people have different tastes.
but running stretch is like driving on big wide wheels and yet still performing like on razor blades?
