The combination of old exterior and thoroughly modern interior is just too jarring for me.

quote from the article:
"In short, the little Citi R is a dinosaur, but at the price it’s a great starter buy for a cash-strapped youngster who is looking for a performance car that’s fun to drive and reliable to boot."
isnt that the point? retarded my arse! if you've never owned a mk1, you cant understand it. i mean owned to, not just driven. its like the GTI all over again.... a modern gti isn't the same car as the old one, its got leather, a/c, its comfy, quiet and sophisticated - insanely fast. everything the original wasn't.
the fun is in the fact that there is not abs and power steer, there is a lot of noise, its quick and fun, owns everything on the corners, and you can take it on the crappest dirt roads and give it a fang without fear of a scratch or voiding warranty with mods.
theres my rant.... ahhhhh....

A Retard is a person with slowed mental or physical development. Not sure if i would apply this to a car :?

looks a little to tacky to me......
trying to make a classic old style car look modern just doesnt work IMO.
