Another stray followed me home - a 1975 Martini Olive B1 (base model) sedan. One owner, logbooked, minimal rust and just needing a thorough tidy. Turns over first time, no smoke, and an original interior. Why I brought it home is a question my wife asks often....

I'd post pics, but apparently I'm still not allowed?!:?

Jodie is helping me with some bits and bobs, as I haven't managed to track down a local wrecker with a wrecked B1.

Strange little cars, with an unusual suspension set-up, but I've still figured how to lower it after talking with a B1 drag racer here in Qld. Still to sort which alloys to bolt on. Any recommendations?

Congrats and welcome to the wonderful world of B1 ownership. :-)

There's a tutorial on uploading images here http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f10/uploading-images-45153.html

For alloys, it pretty much the same range of options as a MK1 golf. Anything 14x6 ET around 38-45 should work OK.

MK3 alloys are common and cheap and will fit no problems.

The turbo B1 wagon will be racing at Warwick this weekend in the watercooled class. Nice little car.

I'd be keen to find out more about lowering... The front of my LS sits unfashionably high... Any help appreciated...
I've been away from the forums for quite some time, need to get back into it I think.. Good luck with the Passat!
